John Legend Replaces Lionel Richie on 'Duets'

Oh, how quickly things change! ABC's new singing competition, Duets, hasn't aired yet, but Lionel Richie has left the show due to personal scheduling conflicts.

According to GossipCop, there's no worries there — Duets has already found a replacement and it's none other than John Legend!
In a network release to the site, John said, "I'm thrilled to be part of Duets and I'm looking forward to finding an undiscovered gem out there. This is going to be a lot of fun."

John will join mentors on the show including Kelly Clarkson, Robin Thicke and Jennifer Nettles. The show will be set up so each mentor gets to select two contestants. Each week a contestant and mentor will sing together in — you guessed it — a duet for a live audience. The winner will walk away with the grand prize of a recording contract with Hollywood Records!
