John Mayer Crops Locks After Katy Perry Split

First, Miley Cyrus chopped her hair, and now it looks like John Mayer has followed suit! While he didn't dye it platinum blonde like the former Hannah Montana star, he did crop a substantial number of inches from his mane.

The crooner was spotted over the weekend with his new 'do in West Hollywood to celebrate Mindy Kaling's new TV show, The Mindy Project. As reported by E! News, her co-star from The Office, B.J. Novak, was there, as were Ali Larter and Hilary Duff. Ironically, Hilary partied with John's recent ex, Katy Perry, the previous night in Santa Monica.

A few days ago we indicated John and Katy's summer romance was short-lived. They moved on pretty quickly as a source told RadarOnline they ran into each other at a mutual friend's dinner party last week and pretty much ignored one another.

The insider dished, “It was so weird! Katy stayed in one room the whole night and John stayed in the other and when they passed each other they both just kept their head’s down."
