Jan. 18 2010, Published 7:17 a.m. ET
John Travolta is joining the help Haiti relief effort by sending his support directly in his personal aircraft. The actor plans to send volunteer ministers, supplies and medics to the devastated country to lend a helping hand.
"I have arranged for a plane to take down some volunteer ministers and some supplies and some medics," John told Entertainment Tonight at Australia Week's L.A. Black Tie Dinner. "My church has also arranged for 80 medicos and 33 volunteers to go down. I hope that inspires others as well," he adds. "It's needed."
John's interview with ET airs tonight on CBS.
Celebrities continue outreach to help Haiti, donating large sums of money to the cause. The theme of the 67 annual Golden Globes last evening was definitely support Haiti. Stars wore red ribbons showing their thoughts were with the devastated country.
