Johnny Depp has always had high hopes for his music career, and with the backing of Keith Richards, and now Steven Tyler, his musical aspirations have become a reality. The hot Hollywood actor has hit the studio with the Aerosmith frontman and is pretty pumped about the collaboration! "We've been hanging out here and there. He's someone I've admired greatly for such a long time," Johnny told Extra, via MSN, recently. "The idea of writing songs with him is a dream come true."
Johnny is currently in the process of writing music with the rock icon, who came out to support his pal at the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides premiere in Disneyland this weekend.
The big-time actor started his career in music before turning to acting. Most recently, he got back to his rock roots by recording with British band Babybird and directing one of their videos.

Johnny is also close pals with another rock icon, Keith Richards, who was a real-life inspiration for Johnny's Pirates character, Captain Jack Sparrow. Johnny based his accent and character on the 66-year-old Rolling Stone, who played Captain Jack’s dad in Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World’s End.
