Johnny Depp began his career as a teen heartthrob on 21 Jump Street, has been named PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive twice and is one of the hottest names in Hollywood. But instead of capitalizing on his looks and fame by playing the field, Johnny instead concentrates on raising his two children with long-time girlfriend Vanessa Paradis. Things weren't also was simple for the star, though. Johnny lived a troubled childhood. The actor cut himself, began smoking at 12, doing drugs at 14 and dropped out of high school at 16. Johnny turned his life around when he began acting and eventually landed lead roles in Edward Scissorhands, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Benny & Joon and the Pirates of the Caribbean series. Before settling down with Vanessa, Johnny was also engaged to Winonna Ryder and model Kate Moss.
