While celebrating the list of winners at last night's Billboard Music Awards, the entertainment industry also paid homage to its fallen stars.

Both Jordin Sparks and John Legend performed hits from the late Whitney Houston, who passed in February. Jordin belted out the chart-topping "I Will Always Love You" while John sang a rendition of "The Greatest Love of All." Whitney's only daughter Bobbi Kristina wept before thanking the two singers for their respects, adding that she was "blessed to have been in such an incredible woman's life." Whitney was posthumously awarded the Billboard Millennium Award.
Meanwhile, Natasha Bedingfield paid tribute to disco pioneer Donna Summer, who died on Thursday after struggling with lung cancer. And a moment of silence was also given to Bee Gees' member Robin Gibb, who passed away yesterday after losing his long battle with cancer.
Wiz Khalifa gave Adam Yauch, who died of throat cancer on May 4, a shout-out while Goodie Mob's Cee Lo Green sang a verse of famed Beastie Boys anthem, "Fight For Your Right" before performing their own song, "Fight To Win."

In brighter news, Adele and LMFAO dominated the show, with the British songbird taking home 12 awards and the wacky electropop act snagging six.
