Last night stars such as Paris Hilton and Pete Wentz came out to support the tremendous efforts of the Red Cross in Santa Monica, where Josh Duhamel and Betty White were honored for their work with the association.
Josh attended the Red Cross Red Tie Affair with his Black Eyed Peas wife Fergie, who looked stunning in a red dress suited for the occasion, and was honored by the foundation for his efforts.
The Win a Date with Ted Hamilton star joked to reporters at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel about being honored before the dinner, “I think it might be because my wife spent so much money at the auction last year that they invited us back. They needed an excuse so they gave me an award!”
But in all seriousness, Josh told OK! that working closely with the Red Cross after the earthquakes in Haiti and in Japan to raise money and awareness has been “unbelievable.”
Former Girls Next Door star Bridget Marquardt and Mark Paul Gosselaar also attended the benefit dinner, where Betty White, 89, received the American Crystal Cross Humanitarian Award.
The Hot in Cleveland comedian was more than humbled by the award and said during her speech, “When I talk about going back to when I was a kid, at 89 that was centuries ago, but growing up the one solid positive - my earliest memories were that when anything went wrong the Red Cross was always there!”
