The night after Jude Law started a controversy by — accidentally, he claims — striking a female photographer attempting to snap a picture of him in London, the actor was booed and heckled by the paparazzi gathered outside the Wyndhams Theatre while he tried to sign autographs for fans. The obviously agitated Jude even got face-to-face with one photog who had a problem with Law's behavior the previous night.

Of the Wednesday night incident, photographer Harsha Gopal claims, "He hit me full in the face. It was a real stinger, it was very sore."
The actor's lawyer explains, "This is all nonsense. Last night's incident was an accident. Jude was blinded by the camera flashes when he left the restaurant, raised his hand to shield himself and inadvertently struck somebody standing very close. He apologised and left. Pictures of this sort can often be misleading."
