Who's the fairest of them all? Surviving the "Seinfeld curse" with a successful hit show, New Adventures of Old Christine, Emmy-winning actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus can celebrate yet again with another one on the way! Her comedy pilot, Veep, was recently picked up by HBO.
In the show, Julia will star as a former senator and newly elected vice president who realizes after the fact that the job isn't all that it was cracked up to be. According to Deadline (via Huffington Post), the show will also star Tony Hale from Arrested Development fame and Anna Chlumsky from My Girl.
Although Christine was canceled last spring by CBS, Julia's hit show proved she broke the "Seinfeld curse." Her Seinfeld co-stars Michael Richards and Jason Alexander attempted to star in their own sitcoms which each lasted less than ten episodes. As for Jerry Seinfeld, he executive produces The Marriage Ref which will return to TV for its second season in late June.
