Despite reports to the contrary, Dancing With The Stars beauty Julianne Hough isn’t crossing over to American Idol territory by dating Ryan Seacrest.
“It’s so crazy,” she tells me during the ACM Awards held in Las Vegas this week. “I keep hearing these rumors, but I don’t know. I know him from interviews. We’ve had lunch together with people – my manager, and stuff like that.”
The country singer, 21, who has been linked to Dane Cook and Kings of Leon frontman Jared Followill since breaking off her romance with Chuck Wicks in late 2009, describes her ideal man. “Funny and just driven – ambitious – and cute.”

Meanwhile, she is rooting for brother Derek Hough and his DWTS partner Nicole Scherzinger to win the show.
“They’re really, really great,” she tells me. “They have a lot of chemistry, and they’re great.”
What is Nicole really like?
“She’s so great,” Julianne tells me. “She’s so goofy. I think a lot of people think she’s drop-dead gorgeous, which she is, but you think she’s going to be put together and proper, but no! She burps and she’s funny. She’s great.”
