Justin Bieber on Flipping Off Photographers: "I Know Better. I'm Sorry"

It's hard not to feel sorry for Justin Bieber when he was just trying to enjoy a date with his girlfriend Selena Gomez on his birthday and ended up being swarmed by photographers. But the birthday boy took to his Twitter to apologize for his actions — of flipping of the cameras.

But it seems like it might have taken Justin a little time to cool off before decided to Tweet an apology.

Photos of The Biebs' birthday dinner out with Selena surfaced today showing the now 17-year-old sticking up his middle finger to photographers.

So we assume his “friends” was actually his time spent with Selena, but we wonder what the surprise was?

At first Justin only Tweeted, "im normal" in what seemed to be a response to the photos circulating the Web.

But a little over a half an hour, Justin launched a long venting session to explain.

"had a great bday and at the end of the night we got surrounded by paps and i reacted in a way i know better," he wrote. "im sorry #killthemwithkindness"

"it's not always easy but i know better than to react in anger."

"on a better note i need to say THANK U to my fans, he added. "we raised over 40k for @charitywater for my bday. we together #madeachange"

But the singer isn't saying that he won't be making mistakes ever again.

"life has it's ups and downs but u guys r always there 4 me. i will make my mistakes but i promise 2 continue 2 grow with u and try 2 do rt"

"so thank u for a great bday and an amazing gift of charity to help others," he concluded. "another year but still the same kid. still grateful. #makeachange"
