In the tweet, Bieber also linked to a dedicated website for 'Holy,' where fans can pre-save the single on Spotify and pre-add it on Apple Music.
Several images from the music video have been released, and Bieber is wearing light brown worker dungarees with heavy-duty leather gloves. His face and arms are also covered in what looks like dirt or oil, giving the impression of a coal or train worker.
While no teasers of the song have been released, there are several YouTube videos that claim to feature Bieber singing a portion of the song during a church gathering.
In the video, recorded by a church goer and posted on Instagram Stories, Bieber explains where the inspiration for the song came from. He then launches into an acapella rendition with an organ hitting out two or three bars in the background.
It is unclear when the nine minute long video was recorded, but during the church service, Bieber also leads the choir into a pop-inspired section, which could very well be part of the new single.
Bieber said that the single will mark a "new era" for him, and that Chance The Rapper will be featured in several verses of the song.
