Justin Bieber Wants to Make You Smile For the Animals!

Who better to put on a Peta poster than the adorable Justin Bieber! The pet lover is calling all of you to ‘adopt from your local shelter!’ He saved his own pup, Sam, from being put down and is urging fans to follow in his footsteps!

“It’s really important that people adopt,” the pop sensation says in his video campaigning video for PETA. “I really encourage going out to an animal shelter or a place where you can get a dog who has been abandoned or doesn’t have a home.”

“Every year, 6 to 8 million abandoned or stray dogs and cats enter animal shelters—and half of them must be euthanized because of a lack of good homes,” PETA shares. “Justin wants his fans to know that buying a dog or a cat from a pet store or a breeder takes a home away from a deserving animal waiting in a shelter for a loving family.”

Justin also talks about his furry pal Sam.

“I have a dog named Sam — a papillon,” Justin shares. “We moved to a city where I didn’t really know anybody and I wanted a friend around. Sam was kind of like that friend.”
