Justin Predicted to Win Big at VMAs

The Video Music Awards are two days away and what better way to prepare for the Sin City event than to make predictions? OK! has not only put our heads together to prophesize the future, but we have corralled The Insider’s , as well, to get her input on the major categories. And it seems like we think alike for the most part. Here are our predictions:

Video of the Year Nominees

  • Beyonce "Irreplaceable"
  • Justice "D.A.N.C.E."
  • Rihanna feat. Jay-Z "Umbrella"
  • Justin Timberlake "What Goes Around... Comes Around"
  • Kanye West "Stronger"
  • Amy Winehouse "Rehab"
OK! says: This is a tough one between the undisputed stars of the summer, and . But we’re giving the slight edge to JT for his epic mini-movie (oxymoron?) featuring the one and only .

Victoria says: "Rihanna or Justin Timberlake… I think he’s got a better chance."

Male Artist of the Year Nominees

  • Akon

OK! says: Justin. Need we explain?

Victoria says: Keep an eye out for an upset. “I’d like to see . I think he’s the wild card.”

Female Artist of the Year Nominees

  • Beyonce

  • Amy Winehouse
OK! says: It’s another close one, this time between Rihanna and the beleaguered , but Rihanna will take it. Amy can get her Moon Man in Best New Artist.

Victoria says: "Rihanna. Just think it's her year."

Best Group Nominees

  • Fall Out Boy
  • Gym Class Heroes
  • Linkin Park
  • Maroon 5
  • White Stripes
OK! says: Overwhelming favorite Fall Out Boy will win their third Moon Man in as many years. They’ve got the fans and on their side.

Victoria says: "Maroon 5. They've got so many different types of sounds, you don’t realize when you hear a song, they are the ones singing it."

Best New Artist Nominees

  • Lily Allen
  • Gym Class Heroes
  • Peter Bjorn and John
  • Carrie Underwood
  • Amy Winehouse
OK! says: Amy, no doubt. No one else has equaled the amount of buzz and attention she’s received this year. Now the question is, "Will she show up?"

Victoria says: It’s Amy all the way! "To be totally blunt with you, everywhere I go, everyone’s talking about Amy Winehouse. I did an interview on a radio station, and they interviewed her, and they were staying she’s the most interesting, off-the-wall character. And she’s incredibly talented."

  • Quadruple Threat of the Year: Justin Timberlake
  • Monster Single of the Year: Rihanna feat. Jay-Z "Umbrella"
  • Best Director: Justin Timberlake "What Goes Around... Comes Around" (Dir. Samuel Bayer)
  • Best Editing in a Video: Beyonce and Shakira "Beautiful Liar" (Ed. Jarrett Figl)
  • Best Choreography in a Video: Beyonce and Shakira "Beautiful Liar" (Chor. Frank Gatson)
What else to expect from the ceremony?
  • Of course, the elephant in the room — ' comeback performance. Whether she brings the house down or lip-synchs her booty off, you know what everyone will be talking about it the next day.
  • Speaking of Britney — will she and Justin cross paths?
  • The crazy setup. The show is moving to Las Vegas for the first time and will be broadcast from a handful of different venues in the Palms Casino Resort. Let’s see how the director and camera crew handle this production.
  • or, more specifically, her stomach. The pop tart has still yet to speak out about her pregnancy, but boobs and bump say a lot.
  • The surprises! Duh. Whether it’s joining on stage 10 years ago to perform “I’ll Be Missing You” or that infamous 2003 lip-lock between , Britney and Christina, there are just some things we can’t prepare for.
