UPDATE: Taylor Swift's rep has denied that the singer will be taking part in this project.
After a more than tense MTV Video Music Awards showdown, Taylor Swift and Kanye West plan to reunite to record a remake of Quincy Jones’ “We are the World” track to contribute to the relief efforts in Haiti.
According to Access Hollywood, the two vocalists — who shared a very awkward moment last year when Taylor attempted to accept her award onstage — will be re-recording the song (originally written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie in 1985) to raise funds for Africa.
The earlier version included performances by Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Paul Simon, Tina Turner and Quincy Jones, who is thrilled to hear that the song is being remade.
“It’s the 25th anniversary and it’s perfect timing… It’s not an accident, man. That’s God. It will be ‘We are the World’ for Haiti,” Quincy told Access Hollywood, although he is not confirmed as of yet to be lending his vocals to the track.

But this time around, Taylor and Kanye won’t be the only ones helping out, as Celine Dion, Wyclef Jean, Miley Cyrus, Sugarland, Jennifer Hudson, Will Smith, Jason Mraz, Sheryl Crow, Mya and Justin Bieber have been reported to possibly take part in the performances, according to Access Hollywood.
The song, set to record after the Grammy Awards on Sunday, will help raise more money for the victims of the tragic January earthquake in Haiti.
