Kanye West finally released his directorial debut over the weekend and while it may be 35 minutes long, many are hailing "Runaway" as an epic masterpiece. The long-form music video is complete with fireballs, marching bands, stunning scenery, beautiful wildlife and Kanye's muse/co-star, the gorgeous Selita Ebanks (who goes practically naked for the role).
The video also includes a tribute to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
"Runaway" will certainly have people analyzing symbolism and metaphors for years to come, but the creator himself has explained some of the video's meaning, giving a breakdown via Twitter of the video's meaning.
As for his acting ability, Kanye wrote, via MTV, "I'm around the level of Quentin Tarantino or Spike Lee. I'm no Daniel Day Lewis, but I think you get the point"
