Always the head turner and headline stealer, looks like Kanye West is stirring up some news this morning. Apparently the multi-platinum rapper may be scouting out locations for a short film in the Persian Gulf region!

OK! NEWS: AND THE GRAMMY NOMINEES ARE... The Observer reports the project will look like "Runaway" to feature an art film and music video. Sources told the newspaper Kanye sent members of his team to meet with government officials and film companies based out of Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Doha Qatar to explore production details. Plus, his team may actually be camped out there for a few weeks to create an insider's look into the culture and hire local talent as well as film local royalty! OK! NEWS: AMBER ROSE CLAIMS KIM KARDASHIAN CHEATED WITH KANYE WEST Not only that, there was a heated bidding war as several local municipal officials and film companies are involved! "In Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Doha, all of the film initiatives are government controlled," said an insider. "A bidding war is going on between various government entities and private investors to fund the film....They all want to claim the film as their own and take credit for generating the publicity." Although details regarding the story itself haven't been revealed "out of respect for Kanye's ambition," it sounds like he's smitten with the region after performing in Abu Dhabi last year.
