Kat Von D Designs Her Wedding Dress on 'LA Ink' Pre-Jesse James Split

Kat Von D was really excited to be a bride. The tattoo maven was in the process of designing her wedding dress for what would have been her nuptials to Jesse James, before they broke off their engagement earlier this month. But all of of Kat's dress designing talk will be featured on an upcoming episode of LA Ink!

In a clip, via Radar Online, from an upcoming episode of LA Ink, Kat asks two friends who are in charge of designing her clothing line to help her create a original, unique dress for her wedding.

She emphasized that she wants her wedding to be "really special."

"When I got married to my first husband we just eloped, I got married in my jeans," Kat says. "I don't want to have a dress that anyone else could have."

But her designing buddies are hesitant to say yes, since they know it will be a lot of work.

"I thought you guys would be more excited," she says.

Kat does reveal her "wedding folder" so they can get an idea of the style that she wants.

"Really organic and flowing and not structured at all," she says of her dream dress.

Kat announced her split from Jesse on July 25 on Twitter, but he's often featured on the new season of her TLC show.

LA Ink airs tonight at 10 p.m. on TLC.
