Though , the Alzheimer's-stricken mother of title character Meredith Grey on ABC smash hit Grey's Anatomy, passed away at the end of the show's last season, , the Emmy-nominated actress who portrayed Ellis, confirms to OK! that fans haven't seen the last of her.
"I'm really dead," Kate told OK! at the Emmy Nominee Reception at Wolfgang Puck's restaurant. "But I'll be back in flashbacks."

Kate, who celebrated her 50th birthday last week, also reveals to OK! that, in spite of all the bad press surrounding the cast of Grey's during the past season, the atmosphere on the set now is much improved. "So far, so good," she explained. "They've been through a lot, but everybody's really happy."
