As reports of a split between Kate Hudson and NY Yankees star Alex Rodriguez continue to roll in, a pal of the actress reveals to OK! that the pair are indeed no longer together — at least for the moment.
"She's taking a break from Alex," the source tells OK!. "It was too much too fast. She wasn't ready for marriage, but he was talking about it."
The insider adds that this vacation from each other isn't intended to be permanent. "They'll reconnect in a bit to see where things are and where they stand," the source explains.

Meanwhile, judging by the smile on Kate's face on Monday, she seems to be enjoying her temporary singles status. The Nine actress was grinning from ear-to-ear as she left the MTV studios in NYC, where she taped an episode of It's On with Alexa Chung.
