Kate Walsh & Husband Divorcing

Only a little more than a year after Kate Walsh wed husband Alex Young, the Private Practice star and her husband are calling it quits.

"Papers have been filed to amicably end the marriage of executive Alex Young and actress Kate Walsh," a rep for the actress confirms in a statement to OK!. "The couple remain on friendly terms and sincerely hope the media will respect their privacy during this difficult time."

Entertainment Tonight was the first to report that movie executive Alex filed for divorce from the actress, citing irreconcilable differences. 

The couple met in February of 2007 and were enaged only three months later, followed by their Sept. 1 wedding that same year, in a ceremony featured in the pages of OK!. The star's Grey's Anatomy co-stars were on hand to celebrate the union, including Katherine Heigl, Justin Chambers, Chandra Wilson and Sara Ramirez.
