The American Music Awards are this Sunday at 8 on ABC! Real Housewives of New Jersey star Kathy Wakile is delighted that her sister Rosie Pierri will be hosting the red carpet show, so we talked to Kathy to get more details about the big night. See how she’s getting involved!

OK!: Tell us more about Rosie’s hosting gig with Lance Bass.

Kathy Wakile: Isn’t that amazing? I’m so proud because America has seen what I’ve known and loved my whole life. When this all started to come about, we were like, oh my god, this is such a great opportunity for her! She did so great at the press conference with Lance. They’re a great team. They’re like the ying and yang. We met with the producers of the event and they said she was one of the first names that came to their head. “We have to get Rosie on the red-carpet commentary. Do what you have to do to get her!” They reached out through my website. Rosie was like, What?! Me?! And I was like, Believe it! People love you! It validates everything I’ve been trying to tell her. My cannoli is making its way to the AMAs, too!

OK!: Can you tell us how they’ll be integrated?

KW: The cannoli? It’s going to make an appearance. I’m excited. It’s all good things. It leads me back to staying true to yourself, what really motivates. Your passion—people respond to that. It’s just another step along the way showing me [to] stay strong on your path and do what you believe in.

OK!: Will you be able to go?
KW: Oh yeah, we’re going too! I’ll be honest with you—I was late for our call because I was thinking about what to wear! I really got to buckle down and think about which dress for the red carpet. It’s a big deal!
