Katie Holmes is finally explaining why we always see her daughter Suri Cruise walking around in the middle of winter without a coat — she doesn't want to fight with her!

Katie is opening up about the great coat debate in the August issue of InStyle and admits she's not proud of her daughter not dressing appropriately for cold weather.

"Recently, Suri and I were taking a walk and a fight got started because it was cold outside and she didn't want to wear her coat," Katie explains to InStyle (via E! News). "My philosophy is, well, fine, because after a block of walking you're going to ask me for your coat."

"So the pictures of her without a coat in cold weather are sort of embarrassing, but I said, 'Suri, I'll take the hit. Just put it on when you get cold.' "

So apparently the photos we see of Suri coat-less are just in that brief time she's walking before realizing she actually wants to wear it.

And for now, it sounds like Katie and her hubby Tom Cruise have their hands full just with Suri and aren't looking to make her a big sister.

"I don't feel pressure to do that," she said of having another baby. "We already have a very big family: a full household with cousins who are over a lot, and she has her friends. My biggest thing is making sure she's fully taken care of and doing well."
