As singer Katy Perry and Russell Brand get set to wed after their recent engagement, Katy speaks out on her love for the comedian and their plans to wait for the right time to tie the knot.
“We love each other and we desperately want to be with each other, so we're going to take it as we come,” Katy reveals to Wonderwall of their upcoming nuptials at the 3rd Annual Art of Elysium Charity Black Tie Gala on Saturday.
And although the doting couple is madly in love, Katy claims that they haven’t set a specific date yet as she tells Wonderwall, “I think the right time will be the right time.”
Katy knows that she can rely on Russell to cheer her up regardless of making their relationship legal in the near future.
“Humor is a very big part of our lives, and when things get difficult, we just have a laugh,” the 25-year-old singer gushes to Wonderwall.

Even the moment the couple met was a bit unconventional as Katy can thank a water bottle for their union.
“I threw an empty water bottle at his head across Radio City Music Hall at the VMAs and it hit him straight in the head and I said 'Hiiiiiiii!!' And from then on it's always been like 'Oh God…' So thanks, empty water bottle,” Katy reveals to Wonderwall.
Can’t wait for the wedding!
