Fresh off the heels of her Part of Me documentary release, Katy Perry pops up on the September issue of ELLE magazine in a bedazzled light pink dress, smoky eyes and purple hair.

The "Piece of Me" singer always seems to be a burst of Technicolor, and while she's pleased with the shtick today, she doesn't plan on being a middle-aged cartoon character.
"I love what I do, and when I don't love what I do, I'll make a change.... I can't be the candy queen forever," she said.
The magazine cover teases us with the lines "Katy Perry on breaking up and moving on," and while she's done a fair amount of talking since her November 2011 split with Russell Brand, the singer seems steadfast in not feeling like the victim.
"I have no regrets," she says. "I'm not going to be everything to everyone. I can't tell a person when it's time for them to have sex, or if they should have a cigarette... but I try to live my life with a lot of integrity, and hopefully that sends a message."

"I'm a woman who likes to be courted — strongly," she said. When asked if she'd marry again, she responded: "Never say never, I guess you'd say. I’ll let love take the lead on that."
