Katy Perry to Launch World Tour

Katy Perry's first single "I Kissed a Girl" was so successful-- it has pretty much spawned an entire world tour. The singer announced on Monday plans to headline across 50 cities beginning in January and spanning through May of 2009.

This is Katy's first international headline tour, following the undisputed success of her debut album, One of the Boys. The tour kicks off in Seattle and will wrap in Perry's hometown of Santa Barbara--hitting a number of international hot spots in between including Paris, London,Vancouver and  Amsterdam.

Alphabeat will open for Perry on all of her North American tour dates. Warped Tour alumni 3 OH 3! will join her on the European leg of the tour.
