Katy Perry Talks New Music on The Grammys Red Carpet

Katy Perry was just one more lady ignoring CBS' request for modesty tonight (much to the delight of many, we're sure). She stopped to talk to E!'s Ryan Seacrest about her reaction to her Grammy nomination (for Best Pop Solo Performance for "Wide Awake") and what she's got coming up.

"It's exciting because it was perfect punctuation to a really long run," Katy said. "It feels like the chapter's closed and I'm ready to start something new—which I am!"

Of what fans can expect from her next record, Katy said, "I'm not going to try and duplicate anything, I'm just going to try and stay true to myself."
