Katy Perry Thinks Labels Don't Matter
May 5 2009, Published 10:13 a.m. ET
Katy Perry's got a unique, quirky style all her own, so it's no wonder she names one of rock's most iconic, fashion-forward artists as her muse.
"Freddy Mercury," she tells reporters when asked who she looks up to, stylewise. "He's probably the person who inspires me the most."
But although she wears some wacky things on stage, Katy's got a very laid back attitude when it comes to her personal style mantra.
"It doesn't matter who makes it, where it comes from, whether it's your grandmother's closet or it's a couture showroom," she tells OK!. "If it looks good on you, wear it!"
We say take her advice – it's coming from a woman who can make a fruit-themed ensemble look glamorous.
