After newspapers and web site around the world carried headlines that
Rolling Stones guitarist had admitted to once snorting a
combination of his deceased father's ashes and cocaine, the legendary
musician was quick to deny the story. It was an off-the-cuff remark, a joke, and it is not true. File under April Fool's joke, explained Bernard Doherty, a spokesman for The Rolling Stones, about Keith's quote to England's NME magazine. However, the magazine is defending its story. Keith didn't offer the information, I had to ask him a couple of questions to get the information out of him, said interviewer Mark Beaumont on NME's Web site. He didn't come straight out with that.Photo: WireImage
