Kelsey Grammer didn't have success making his TV show Hank the new Frasier, so now it's time to bring on the drag! Kelsey is set to star in La Cage aux Folles on Broadway next spring.
Producer Sonia Friedman said the musical, a revival of the 1983 Jerry Herman-Harvey Fierstein, will open April 18 at the Longacre Theatre.
The show will be directed by Terry Johnson and will feature British star Douglas Hodge, who is currently performing in the hit London production of the show.
La Cage was the basis for the film The Birdcage and focuses on the relationship between a club owner, portrayed by Kelsey, and its drag star, the role played by Douglas.
Wouldn't be surprised if this role wins him a Tony!
