Jan. 28 2010, Published 3:30 p.m. ET
Keri Hilson has established herself as an accomplished singer and recording artist; however, before she could use her talents to purse her own solo endeavors, the R&B singer wrote hit tracks for many big name artists including the pop princess herself, Britney Spears. So was it tough working with one of the biggest and most followed celebrities in the world? "That wasn’t my experience," Keri tells OK! exclusively. "She wasn’t tough to write for at all."
"But we knew before we went in that she did not want it to be biographical," she continues on her experience with Brit. "She definitely wanted to escape her reality so we knew how to approach it."
Keri's songwriting was responsible for many chart-topping hit singles including Britney's "Gimme More."

The songwriter turned R&B crooner says Britney wasn't part of the writing process, but she is "a very sweet girl."
"She works very hard and she really knows her role very very very well and I think she is a visual artist," Keri adds. "The moment she hears a song she is imagining the video and imagining herself onstage which was amazing to me, which I think I’ve seen that very rarely."
