Sad news for Khloe Kardashian and her basketballer husband, Lamar Odom. Lamar has been let go of the Dallas Mavericks and will play for their D-league affiliate, the Texas Legends.
Lamar hasn't played in a game since Feb. 20, as he took a leave of absence to spend time with his sick father. Although ESPN.com says it was Lamar's idea to take the step down to the Legends, it's still has got to be a tough blow for an athlete.
Mavericks president of basketball operations Donnie Nelson confirmed that Lamar is in the D-league and said that coach Mark Cuban is trying to create a timeline that will ease him back into play.
Lamar has not been performing to the best of his ability this season and many, including Lamar, think he needs some more time to "get his legs back under him."
The basketballer is officially off the Mavericks roster, but Khloe doesn't need to worry. He will still make his $8.9 million salary while he plays with the Legends.
