Kiefer Sutherland's days in jail are passing by faster than his days on TV. The actor, locked up for 48 days, has adjusted well to living in the big house, according to Glendale PD PIO John Balian.
"He's been very cooperative, doesn't complain about the duties," Officer Balian tells TMZ.
The troubled actor spent his first 24 hours behind bars in the laundry room. Yes — Jack Bauer did laundry. Kiefer was reduced to washing and folding duties all of Thursday — washing sheets, pillowcases, blankets and towels, then drying and folding them — only breaking for a lunch of turkey sandwich. He awoke at 8 a.m. sharp Friday morning to continue the washin' and foldin'.

"We had a pretty busy night last night, so Kiefer will probably have a lot of laundry to do today."
In addition to laundry duty, the 40-year-old is also slated to serve lunch and dinner to fellow inmates Friday.
The 24 star is housed in an isolated cell, in which he passes his "free" time showering, reading and catching up on the boob tube.
He has yet to receive any visitors.
