Jeanetics! Ditch Your Old Denim And Start Fresh For Fall

When it comes to denim, it’s all about the fit — not the brand.
I often see women make the mistake of shelling out massive amounts of money for the hottest designer denim styles — that don’t even flatter their figure. Jeans should really be a style staple in your wardrobe, and there is no reason why every woman shouldn’t have a handful of figure-flattering pairs that make them feel sexy the second they slip them on.
We all have those jeans in our closet that we will never get rid of — those comfortable, worn-in, timeless styles that act as our grown up version of a stuffed animal — but for the most part, I like to clean out my denim closet once a year, donate them to people in need, and start fresh for the new season. And let’s face it: our bodies change every year, so those jeans that fit us perfectly last season, may be a little big or too snug 12 months later.

There are five basic styles that every girl should have in her closet: crop, cigarette, flare, straight and boot cut.
Cropped jeans are a great daytime style that can be paired with super cute sandals or wedges and can also be transitioned into nighttime with help of some sassy stilettos. This style has been super hot this season, especially in bright and vibrant colors and amazingly comfortable stretch materials. JustFab’s The Cool Crop are great because they are not only slimming, but they are made out of a stretchy, second skin fabric that will keep you comfortable and looking cool all day and all night long.
The cigarette jean, also known as the skinny jean, clings to your body from the waist to the ankle. This style is very sleek and cosmopolitan, and is a perfect jean to pair with high heels, boots, or even flip-flops. The Slender Cigarette, available on JustFab in a variety of denim washes, is a super versatile style without any logos or embellishments.

Don’t confuse the cigarette jean with the straight leg! While the former hugs your body all the way down, the straight leg eases up a bit at the ankle, making it a better style for high heels or loafers. JustFab’s The Super Straight is an updated version of the popular boyfriend jean, and is a great option for flattering a curvy figure.
Fall season is all about the boots, so you have to have a great pair of flares! The Basic Boot from JustFab, available in six different washes, flatters all body types and looks great with boots and heels.

But if you really want to flaunt your curves and show off your body in blast to the past style, you can’t go wrong with a pair of bell-bottoms. The Fabulous Flare from JustFab, is fitted in the waist, booty and legs, flaring out to the max below the knee. This style looks great paired with a platform heel or a wedge, just make sure that they fall below your ankle once you have your towering footwear on.
Some tips before you get dressed in denim!
Avoid the dreaded muffin top! Make sure your jeans fit properly around the waistline, because flesh pouring on the sides is never a good look — or feel. I know some people think that wearing a loose-fitting top will cover up their muffin top, but ultimately, you will know that it is there and that doesn’t feel very sexy, does it?
Always wear the appropriate footwear! Bell bottoms and crops don’t really work with boots and sometimes skinny jeans with sandals can be not-so-flattering for your figure. Before you leave the house, make sure you take that final look in the mirror and ensure that you properly paired your footwear with your denim style.
Don’t live too large — or too small! A lot of voluptuous women aren’t totally comfortable with their curves and buy jeans a few sizes too big, thinking that it will have a slimming effect, and skinny girls often go skintight, thinking they are flaunting their figures to the max, but these strategies often backfire. If jeans are too baggy and bunching up in the wrong places, it will make you appear bigger as well as sloppy, and if jeans are too tight, it can show off flaws on even the skinniest of girls.
