Last night as Sophie Tweed Simmons took the audition stage on X Factor, we realized she's actually the daughter of KISS founder Gene Simmons!
The 19 year-old has already belted out "At Last" by Etta James on her family's reality show, Family Jewels, but the stakes were much higher as she auditioned in front of Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid. Let's not forget the vocal teacher on last night's show from Atlanta.

Not wanting special treatment, Sophie told producers, "I really just want to step out from being in the shadows, of being the daughter of 'the guy from KISS.’”
Well, that promise was short-lived. As soon as she walked onto the stage, Demi gave a shout out that she's the sister of Nick Simmons. Although Sophie's facial expressions looked disappointing, she bolstered her emotions when Simon asked how her father felt about the audition.

She quipped, "I didn't want my dad's help...My parents didn't know I was doing this until yesterday, and they're pretty upset with me."
After singing "Make You Feel My Love," it looks like we'll get to feel her love at least another round since Sophie got the green light to the next level of auditions!
