Kris Kross Rapper Chris Kelly Dies From 'Suspected Overdose' Age 34

Chris Kelly, 34, best known for being half of 90s hip hop duo Kris Kross has died from a suspected drugs overdose.
He was found unresponsive at his Atlanta home on Wednesday afternoon and taken to a local hospital but was pronounced dead at 5pm local time.

A spokeswoman for the Fulton County Police says that it appears "it may have been a possible drug overdose." An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted on Thursday.
Kelly, known as MacDaddy, and his performing partner Chris Smith, also known as Daddy Mac rose to fame with their catchy tune Jump and were best known for wearing their pants backwards.

Their album, Totally Krossed Out, which was released in 1992 sold more than four million copies and topped the Billboard charts for two months.

Kelly and Smith were discovered by Jermaine Dupri at a mall in Atlanta and the music maker led tributes to the late star on Twitter saying that he was "a son I never had."
The teen sensations were known for wearing their pants backwards
Kelly was recently in the limelight again when he reunited with Smith for the 20th anniversary of So So Def Recordings in February.
The late star's mom Donna Kelly Pratte and the record label released a joint statement confirming the sad passing.

"To millions of fans worldwide, he was the trend-setting, backward pants-wearing one-half of Kris Kross, who loved making music. But to us, he was just Chris - the kind, generous and fun-loving life of the party," they said.
