NEWSKristen Stewart: "I'm Just Not Very Comfortable Talking About Myself"

Kristen Stewart has heard it all when it comes to the media's interpretation of her shy nature (even some harsh words from former co-star Adam Brody). However, the 20-year-old actress is not letting the criticism affect her and is speaking out about why she handles live interviews in her own "shy" way.
"I am quite shy and people think I'm aloof. I get that all the time: — 'She should not be in this position because she can't handle it,' and, 'She is stuck up and doesn't want to talk to anybody. She is miserable, and if you are so miserable stop doing it,' " Kristen tells the UK's Telegraph. "But do you have a choice? I want to be an actor, I am just not very comfortable talking about myself."
K-Stew doesn't want any help changing her interview skills either.
"When I did the first Twilight movie they were like, 'Now you have to go and do media training,' and I was, 'Screw you! Do you think you are going to wrap up all my little insecurities and throw them out the window? Do you think you are going to put soundbites in my mouth? I'll do your course, but that's not going to happen.' "

"I wore a T-shirt in kindergarten that said 'Kick butt first. Ask names later' on the back," she says. "I just thought of that randomly, sorry, but I think it might show that I've always been overly indignant in my reactions to not being able to be myself."
While Kristen's on/off screen boyfriend Robert Pattinson may also have some quirks when it comes to interviews, he is a little more open and funny then his leading lady.

Even though they have been caught kissing, on set visits and traveling together, Kristen still won't open up about her relationship with R-Pattz.
"It doesn't matter how many times I've spoken to someone or how well they know me, I'm just not going to talk about that," Kristen explains.
"But it is weird with the paparazzi," she added. 'We are not on the top of the paparazzi list, but it is definitely tougher for Rob."
