Kristin Chenoweth Not Returning To 'The Good Wife' After On-Set Injury

Kristin Chenoweth has announced that she is quitting the hit CBS show The Good Wife after sustaining a serious injury during filming in New York last month.
The diminutive actress, 44, was hit by a piece of falling lighting equipment and was rushed to a hospital on July 11. She was released the next day and continues to convalesce at home.

"It is with deep regret to inform everyone that due to my injuries, I am unable to return to The Good Wife," Chenoweth said in a statement.
"I'm getting better slowly, and thank you everyone for your concern."

Kristin has kept fans updated on her progress and Tweeted last week that she was having a challenging day.
"Today not best "pain" day. Remaining positive. (I think)," she wrote on Aug. 8.
