Kym Johnson's DWTS Diary: Getting Jealous Over Donny's Bruno Kiss!

Dancing with the Stars pro Kym Johnson has teamed up with OK! to update you every week on the triumphs and travails as she attempts to turn her celeb partner Donny Osmond into a ballroom champion!
Hi, everyone! Welcome to Week 7 of my diary. Wow, what a Monday night! Donny shocked everyone by planting a kiss on Bruno Tonioli during the show. We danced the rumba, but everyone will remember more how Donny Osmond, the Mormon family man, threw caution to the wind to share a funny moment with Bruno. He’s full of surprises!
I told Donny he gave more passion to Bruno than he did to me and said, “We had a romantic rumba and there you were in the arms of a man!” But I was just teasing him. I think he enjoyed sending up his image for one night. For me, it was kind of a weird experience, though. I didn’t know what was going on at first. My mouth fell open.
Turning at last to our actual dancing (ahem), I have to say it was difficult this week. The rumba is such an intimate, sexy dance so Donny struggled with it in the beginning of rehearsals, but then he took it on as a character and got very comfortable with it. We danced to the ultimate love song, "Endless Love."
The rumba is a hard dance and I had Donny doing a lot of basics and I left him out there by himself a lot so you could really see his technique. Len Goodman criticized him for not straightening his leg, which was something I tried to drum into Donny in rehearsals. But we were happy with our score of 21, as most of the scores were low on Monday night. We’re still in a very good position, are grateful for what we have, and are always looking to improve.
As my OK! blog photos show, I was busy again before the show this week. I did a satellite interview on Sunday with an Australian TV show called The Morning Show that’s the equivalent of Live with Regis and Kelly back home. They’re interested in my success on the American version of DWTS, because I appeared on three seasons of the Australian version of the show before coming to the U.S. I still have a lot of family Down Under and it’s fun for them to see me on TV!

Then, I wanted to share with you a photo of me with Utah’s snow capped mountains behind me. On Tuesday night, Donny and I flew from our show’s home base in Los Angeles, where it was hot, to Utah, where it was also warm. But when I woke up in Utah on Wednesday morning, there was snow on the mountains. I couldn’t believe how the weather changed so quickly. It was beautiful.
If we make it through this week, we’ll be dancing the Charleston. It’s a dance that’s close to Donny’s heart — but we’ll only be able to do it if we get voted through.
So, keep on voting and I’ll catch you next week!
