L.A. Reid Rumored to Join Simon Cowell on 'The X Factor'

Island Def Jam chairman Antonio "L.A." Reid is reportedly joining Simon Cowell as a judge on The X Factor.

According to The Hollywood Reporter's sources, "It's a done deal."
Reid, according to the source, will get an early release from his contract with Universal Music to be a part of the X Factor.
Auditions for the show begin March 27 in L.A. and an announcement on Reid joining will reportedly be made this week.

Four judges are believed to being brought on for the show.
Reid previously was asked by THR whether he'd have an interest in being a judge on X-Factor and he said, “To each his own. I don't criticize. Whatever works, works. I think music on television certainly has a place and it's important. In some ways, TV has become as impactful as radio once was. It's just another way of doing it."

"You can find music on American Idol, on YouTube, on KIIS-FM or on a mixed tape," he added. "The more platforms we have, the better off we are as an industry.”
