There's no problem on Kate Plus 8, according to the Pennsylvania labor department. The work permits used for Kate Gosselin's sextuplets protect them from exploitation.

The labor department said in a statement Tuesday, the children are not being "unlawfully exploited" while filming TLC's Kate Plus 8, PopEater reports.
The work permits used by Kate's 6-year-old sextuplets were under question last week by State Rep. Thomas Murt, who said Pennsylvania law permits children under 7 to work in movies, but not on TV.

However, labor officials said Tuesday that the permits protect the children from working too many hours and ensure they receive payment from the show.
Murt still says the permits are illegal and that the labor department needs to get a ruling from the attorney general.
