Lady Gaga was thrilled when she heard the news. She , "Just heard my duet "Hello, Hello" with Elton is up for nomination at the Oscars! Gnomeo & Juliet is such a beautiful film. I'm so happy!!"
Elton, in fact, made the list with two songs. His song "Love Builds a Garden" from Gnomeo & Juliet could also snag a nom. But let's not forget about some of the other big names that received good news as well including Mary J. Blige, Zooey Deschanel and Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am, as well as three songs from The Muppets.

The most shocking news from the list though is that Madonna didn't make the cut! We are sure she is not too happy this morning that her song, "Masterpiece," from W.E., was snubbed. Could Madonna still end up seeing some love from the Academy in another category? We are not so sure.
