That is, Lady Gaga is going to make a big splash on the silver screen with her acting debut in Machete Kills, the star-studded sequel to Machete, from two years ago.

Director Robert Rodriguez announced the news on Twitter yesterday: “I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills, she kicked SO MUCH *SS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!”

He must've been really psyched because then he posted the movie's poster, showing Lady Gaga channeling her character, La Chameleon. No stranger to Twitter herself, the Grammy winner Tweeted, “Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress in the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @RODRIGUEZ IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Filming was insane.”
She'll join Jessica Alba, Sofia Vergara, Mel Gibson, Amber Heard, Vanessa Hudgens and Charlie Sheen in the movie, which will be released next year.
