She's been called many things but to be grouped with designer greats like Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler and Michael Bastian means only one thing. Lady Gaga has not only made her fashionista mark, meat dress and all, she's been named the Fashion Icon of the Year for 2011!

Last night in Lincoln Center in NYC, Lady Gaga won the award at the 10th Annual Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards while wearing a unique Gaga-esque outfit, blue/green wig and all. According to E! News, during her acceptance speech she stated, "Fashion made me feel like a star before I was."
