Lakers Victory Soiree

Last night I was so lucky to be a party of the Lakers official championship victory soiree. Hosted by the Lakers and AEG, the team, their friends, family, a who’s who of their Hollywood fans and I gathered at Club Nokia at L.A. Live, right across the street from the Staples Center where the magic is made, for a Moet & Chandon to their victorious 2009 season.

Despite my five-inch Lamb heels I’d never felt so vertically challenged as I did among a sea of basketball stars, but it was a bit surreal to be standing inches from 7ft tall Pau Gasol and feet from Kobe Bryant.

Somehow I was talked into a shot with Brody Jenner (vodka shots, really?), I talked to Audrina who was gushing about how much she loved her recent trip to Australia on V Australia – and how she couldn’t believe Stephanie Pratt blamed The Hills for her bulimia. I danced next to Dancing with the Stars pro Derek Hough while Kanye West performed and tried, albeit unsuccessfully, to make a meeting between Twilight’s Ashley Green and Lil’ Wayne happen. Post-party I stopped by Deluxe for a nightcap where the girls where we ran into David Arquette and our robots (consolation prizes from the Laker party) fake fought.

Now I’m off to dinner at Dominicks and then to Guys and Dolls Lounge to meet my friend Jaime (the mystery brunette, not dating Chris Klein, but pictured holding hands with her ‘amazing man and friend’ in photos taken last night and currently all over the blogosphere) and looking forward to another weekend going surfing!
