The singer's first single, "Video Games," has sold 20,000 copies according to Billboard, but when she sang the slow and somber song on the Daniel Radcliffe–hosted episode of SNL, it lacked luster and proved that Lana might be a little too inexperienced to perform on the iconic late-night sketch program. Her album hasn't even hit stores and she's a musical guest? Doesn't sound right — and neither does her voice. Between her pitch issues and tendency to go from her high register to her low one, Lana's performances of "Video Games" and "Blue Jeans" just didn't live up to our expectations. Especially when the recordings of the songs sound amazing! We hope her appearance on the show doesn't crush her album sales.
