Considering their characters spend most of the time in New Year's Eve stuck in a broken elevator together, Lea Michele and Ashton Kutcher became fast friends!
The Hollywood Reporter pointed out they greeted each other affectionately at the movie's premiere and their chemistry literally evolved from not knowing each other prior to filming! Lea dished, "I think it was really good in this movie that Ashton and I didn't know each other because we were supposed to be strangers meeting in an elevator." Sounds like the roles helped their believable on-screen connection because they weren't exactly supposed to be joined at the hip. "I think if we were playing two people who have known each other their whole lives we would have definitely worked hard to create a certain rapport with each other, but not knowing each other really helped with this film." The Glee star sounded pretty gleeful about the Two and a Half Men actor. "He's an incredibly smart guy and he's so sweet." New Year's Eve opens in theaters this Friday.
