Set in 1925 when the game of football was fizzling, star player Dodge Connolly (Clooney) decides to recruit a young war veteran (Krasinski) to create some buzz around the sport. But his plan almost backfires when a young journalist (Zellweger) comes between Dodge and his rising star.
