Lee DeWyze Wouldn't Present Scotty McCreery With 'American Idol' Winner's Trophy

Nigel Lythgoe, an executive producer of American Idol, is a little upset that last year's Idol winner Lee DeWyze wouldn't present Scotty McCreery with the Idol microphone trophy last night. Nigel turned to his Twitter to express his discontent that Lee wouldn't partake. So why did he turn the opportunity down?
"I was so upset Lee DeWyze wouldn't present the winners trophy to Scotty. Especially as he'd been on the show this Season. I guess he was shy" Nigel Tweeted last night after the show.
Lee did attend the finale last night, but was not invited to perform. Perhaps he was bitter about being dissed? Usually the show's previous winner always gets a spot on the Idol finale stage.
"Hey guys, no I'm not performing at the Finale. I wasn't asked to. A lot of questions so I thought I'd fill you in. Talk to you soon :)" Lee Tweeted on May 23.

Lee returned to the Idol stage earlier this season to perform his new single, “Beautiful Like You," off his debut album, Live It Up.
Why do you think Lee chose not to present Scotty with the trophy? Sound off in the comments.
