June 9 2008, Published 9:00 a.m. ET
According to an item from The Hollywood Reporter, Leonardo DiCaprio, who recently portrayed mad billionaire film mogul and playboy Howard Hughes in The Aviator, is set to play another wealthy oddball genius, though maybe not quite as glamorous.
The Departed star with act in and produce, Atari, a film about Nolan Bushnell, the man behind the home video game boom and Chuck E. Cheese's restaurants. Including Hughes, this is the sixth time DiCaprio will have portrayed a real-life character on the big screen. Previously, he's also starred as poet/musician Jim Carroll in The Basketball Diaries, charming counterfeiter Frank Abagnale in Catch Me If You Can, the young author Tobias Wolff in This Boy's Life, and poet Arthur Rimbaud in Total Eclipse.
